Fostering within young people the appreciation, knowledge, values and skills necessary to inspire ecologically sound decisions and actions.
Eco Education is a non-profit focused on providing environmental education to students in the Twin Cities metro area. We’ve served over 150,000 students since our founding in 1991. Our innovative approach to environmental education addresses the environmental concerns of urban students. We have two core programs: Through our City Connections curriculum, students learn more about their urban environment in Minneapolis and St. Paul. With Urban Stewards, students learn about environmental issues effecting their communities and choose an issue to address through a service-learning project. Additionally, our Eco Outreach program offers environmental education presentations through a network of environmental speakers. And, our City Trek teacher professional development workshops provide hands-on environmental education teaching strategies.
