Callie Recknagel
Callie began working at Eco Education in September 2008. She earned a B.A. from Macalester College in May 2008, studying Anthropology, Art, and African Studies. She is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin but loves all the Twin Cities has to offer. Callie is interested in exploring the intersection between art and environmental sustainability.
As an AmeriCorps CTEP (Community Technology Empowerment Project) member, Callie is enhancing Eco Education's capacity to integrate technology into environmental education. She works with the University of Minnesota to incorporate MIIM (Minnesota Interactive Internet Mapping) into the City Connections program. She also helps students and teachers perform and edit community interviews using digital media technology through the Urban Understory program. Additionally, she manages the e-Mentoring program.
